Alexander Henry Fabrics
Released in 2006 by Alexander henry Fabrics, this gorgeous textile has been out of print for many years. It is highly prized by everyone who loves all things Mexican. Although the Lotto concept began in Spain, this version of the lotería was created in Mexico by Don Clemente Jacques who published the game in 1887 as a marketing tool for his food products. Today the iconic images continue to be replicated on paper, art, clothing, and yes, the traditional gameboard. The game is still played and as the images are pulled and a rhyme called, players rush to put a bean on their Loteria cards. This fabric is a gem, so it is sold in smaller pieces 24" x 44", which is where it repeats.
